The RCAF's two photo squadrons, 413 and 414, carry out annual photographic operations covering the Dominion, and the pictures their far-ranging planes take are processed at Rockcliffe's No.1 Photo Establishment, in which ther scene above was taken. The above picture shows a mosaic, made up of hundreds of individual aerial photos laid together. When re-photographed a single picture covering a huge area results. AERIA1 photos taken by the RCAF are turned over to Mines and Resources, Army. and other government departments for mapping and other purposes. Note: this is an old picture, and unfortunately shows WD's no longer in the Air Force. - Possibly it could be cropped to excluse them.
