Photo DescriptionThree abreast, snowmobiles being used on Exercise Muskox roar over the brow of a hill during preliminary training in preparation for the long trek across Canada's northland. The expedition will push off from Churchill, Manitoba on 14 February and go beyond the Arctic Circle returning to Edmonton, Alberta 81 days later. In the vehicle on the right sits Lieut. Col. P.D. Baird of Montréal, commander of the exercise.
