Photo DescriptionPhotograph taken in June of 1948 during a glaciological research expedition to Greenland ice cap. Heavy equipment is loaded on weasel at top of 600 foot cliff (altitude about 2000 feet). All 43 tons of equipment were hoisted up on cliff by the half-mile-long cableway.
