Welcome to the University of Calgary’s 50th anniversary collection. This collection draws from a wide variety of resources held by the University of Calgary Archives, including photographs, newspapers, yearbooks and convocation booklets.
The University of Calgary traces its roots back to the Alberta Normal School. Established in 1905, it was renamed the Calgary Normal School in 1912 and became a branch of the University of Alberta in 1945. The University of Calgary became an autonomous institution April 29, 1966.
